Hey friends,
Calling all writers who want to grow their chops and their Substack following. I don’t do this often, but I’m opening up three spots for 1:1 Substack coaching.
How it works
This is my highest level of coaching. Each month, you send me one post of 1,000 words or less, and I give it my full editorial attention: title, subject line, opening, structure, big idea, conclusion, and ideas for Notes. You’ll receive an in-depth feedback video and a document with comments and suggested edits.
It’s the exact process I use with my authors at Penguin.
Who it’s for
This is for Substack writers—or bloggers—who are already writing at least one post a month and are eager, teachable, & joyful learners. Most writers try to grow by doing more: posting more, tweaking more, testing more, guessing more. And yes, consistency matters. But in my experience, 1:1 feedback is the best way to grow.
Even as a senior editor, I hire my own writing coach. I believe in it that much. The moment you invite someone else in—someone who can read deeply, name what’s working, spot what’s missing, and give you specific, actionable feedback—your writing will never be the same.
I want to help you write better. I also want to help you increase engagement on your posts and attract more subscribers:
I’m keeping this small on purpose. I’m only accepting 3 more writers, and there’s already more than 20 applicants. I’ll review applications over the next two weeks, then doors will close.
I’m rooting for you,
Will
Hey, I’m Will Parker Anderson, a Senior Editor at Penguin Random House Christian. A lot of writers feel trapped on the outside, like writing and publishing are an elite inner circle they’re not welcome to join, and they feel alone & intimidated.
I want to change that, so I created Writers Circle—where I make insider knowledge open to everyone, so writers like you feel seen, equipped, and encouraged as you steward the words God has given you. My goal is to make writing less lonely and your next step more clear.

I am interested. It would help me decide whether to apply if I knew the cost.
