One thing that made me realize this "compound effect" was training for a triathlon. I went from not being able to swim or bike very fast to putting in an above average time in my half-ironman. How did I do it? I had a training schedule that I stayed pretty faithful to for a year. You look up one day and you just completed what was previously a seemingly insurmountable goal.

Ben, that’s awesome. Respect for completing a half-ironman. That’s a big deal.

Thank you for this timely encouragement. I also love the seemingly effortless abundance of childhood creativity. It is prodigal in the truest sense. Our home is full of canvases our boys have painted, and they bring me joy.

Abigail, thanks for sharing. It's incredible how much kids can create! Trying to nurture that in my kiddos :)

Will, I have one traditionally published book. I write a weekly newspaper column published in four different papers. I decided to take your advice and my column this coming week will be an excerpt from the introduction to a new book I’m too slowly working on. Thanks for your good words.
